Natural family planning materials available

The archdiocese’s Development Program for Natural Family Planning and the U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops have designated the week of July 19-25 as “Natural Family Planning Awareness Week.” The dates highlight the anniversary of the encyclical “Humanae Vitae” (July 25), which articulates Catholic beliefs about human sexuality, conjugal love and responsible parenthood.

Posters as well as other resources have been created in both English and Spanish to help individuals and parishes promote natural family planning in the archdiocese.

The Family Ministries Office invites parishes, Catholic hospitals, respect-life coordinators, marriage-preparation ministers, and all involved with ministering to engaged and married couples to help inform people about natural family planning.

To obtain a free poster or brochures, call Maria Garcia at (312) 534-8273 or e-mail [email protected].
