Holy Name Cathedral Parish celebrates 175 years
Cardinal Cupich is the main celebrant during Mass on Nov. 24, 2024 to mark the 175th anniversary of Holy Name Cathedral Parish. Clergy who served at the cathedral in the past – including the previous rector Msgr. Dan Mayall, joined the cardinal for Mass. At the end of Mass, Father Greg Sakowicz, current rector, presented Cardinal Cupich with flowers and a replica of the cathedral’s main cross in honor of the cardinal’s 10th anniversary of archbishop of Chicago.
