Guadalupe shrine hosts new truck pilgrimage

Hundreds of people bring their pick-up trucks and SUVs to the Shrine of Our Lady of Guadalupe in Des Plaines on Dec. 1, 2024, for the first pilgrimage of trucks outside of the annual semi-tractor trailer pilgrimage. The celebrations, which include Mass, are to bless the truckers and their vehicles as part of the festivities in honor of the upcoming feast of Our Lady of Guadalupe on Dec. 12.
